PRESS RELEASE

For over 45 years the Manchester Relief In Need group of charitable trusts has been offering assistance to people in poverty in Manchester. Today their work gives vulnerable people help by providing essential household and personal items that most of us take for granted. Working with key support workers throughout Manchester we offer individuals and families one off grants for specific items as well as supporting local charities with grants to enable them to deliver key projects in their frontline work. We have distributed over £350,000 in grants in the last 5 years alone.

This month the Trusts have appointed Beyond Profit as the new administrators for the Trusts. Sharman Birtles, Chair of the Trusts, says “We are delighted to begin our new partnership with Emma Willder and her team at Beyond Profit and look forward to working with them, expanding the work we do in helping local people in need. We know that many people need extra help in these difficult times, and we will continue developing our work to ensure we can help as many people as possible.” The Trusts offer assistance throughout the year.
